The experience begins when walking from the car park to the restaurant through the stunning gardens, observing the ponds, water dragons and buddhas. Very relaxing. We were then seated at a gorgeous little table for 2 right at the side of the pond, the view was spectacular. The tropical gardens were lit beautifully and the reflection of the restaurant on the pond was stunning.
For starters we had the Coconut Soup of Salmon and the Crispy Wonton Miang. Oh my goodness, amazing, speechless, eye-opening, how do they get so much flavour in to such a little dish. So fresh, so flavourful and the perfect amount of chilli. The presentation was also amazing, the wontons were wrapped as little cones and the soup was served in a teapot which you pour over the delicious smoked salmon. The best starters I have ever eaten.
For mains we had the Green Curry and the Grilled Salmon. Again, so much flavour, every mouthful was such a delight, I didn’t want to stop eating, but I had peaked at the dessert menu so knew to save a little space. So glad I did! The Pliable Chocolate was spectacular! The flavours of chilli, chocolate and raspberry were superb and the textures blended together perfectly.
The entire evening was absolutely seamless thanks to the wonderful service. I am so excited to have discovered this gem so close to home and I cannot wait to go back again and again.
Thank you Spirit House for creating such a tranquil, magical experience.
